I have a little dot just under my avatar and if I hover the cursor over it it tells me that

"Jonzjob is an unknown at this point".

Pray tell, what does that mean?

It's just a term associated with the reputation level of the member. As the number of green dots changes/increases...the phrase changes. All internet forums works this way. Each reputation level (number of dots) gets assigned some sort of "fun" term/phrase.

Maybe I'm color blind, but I see little blue dots. The big dot is green if the member is online.

McBie, I have fewer dots than you, but take a look at what mine says!

Do you know who "Melchizedek" was? Quite an honor if you've been assigned that name. ;)

You can click on User CP link above and that should, I believe, show you the reputation you've received. You should see any note the giver left, but you won't see the person dishing out the repo though..

That's the MAIN reason I quit using Safari. I don't need a yellow box popping up every time I hover over something for longer than a half second. And you cant turn it off!!

And changing the time with defaults changes EVERYTHING and sometimes you just need a tooltip.

He was the king of Salem. Isn't that a bit of New York? And there were I thinking that you Trans Atlantic cousins were a democracy that didn't have kings?

Tooltips? I thought they were the likkle bits you interchanged on the end of yer screwdriver?

XJ, you really do learn something new every day me-thinks ;)

He was the king of Salem.

Like I said, quite an honor especially if you've read the Book of Genesis. While we don't officially have a king, there are some in Washington DC who think they're just that. ;P
