Hello all,
I have used boot camp to dual boot my a1207 imac's with windows 7 32b. All have 2gb ram and they all go through the installation process just fine. Intermittently, the machines will freeze after the password screen while the startup sound is playing. They all boot into OS X just fine, and when they do boot in windows, they run flawlessly and have no issues. any thoughts?

Those are very old iMacs. Have you checked on the condition of their hard drives from Disk Utility? Also, I'm surprised that you're able to run Windows 7 on them. Generally, Windows 7 likes a lot of disk space and memory.

I have run windows 7 on computers with much lower specs than these. With chrome open, it is only using 748mb of memory which leads me to believe that the specs are fine. I guess I could try and install xp and see how that goes but I wish I could figure out why it freezes only sometimes. Also, boots fine in safe mode every time, perhaps an issue with the boot sequence or the drivers?

Good luck. As chscag points out, this is a 2006 model iMac so XP may be the better choice.
