I used Pagemaker on my old PC and now need to design a brochure for a friend but do not want to invest in the Mac version of Pagemaker. Is there anything out there that is similar but affordable. Free would be good. Thank you in advance. janet

Well, you're not going to get anything like Pagemaker for free. As suggested, there is Apple Pages which is a WP program but also does layout. ($19.99) There are also numerous DTP programs in the Mac App store which you can look at. One that I use and very easy to setup and get going is "iStudio Publisher" which will cost $14.99 in the Mac App store. Lots to choose from there. However, stay away from "Swift Publisher" as it's difficult to use and learn and gives poor results.

Great, I don't mind spending a few bucks, but $500+ is tough. It was worth it when I was working as a designer, but this is free for a friend.
Thanks.

Just wanted to let you know. You can add your computers specs to your Mac-Forums profile. Then it will always be there...which many times can help with answering questions.:)
