uploading a picture on facebook

this is the first time ive had trouble with it.. write a status then press the photo icon try to upload it and it says error

looks like the file type is jxr, never heard of that one before! pic was taken on mobile and uploaded to computer

hope you can help

Hi - as you likely know FB has limited image format support (quote from their help page below) - now I don't know much about the jxr extension but a nice Wiki article HERE - a JPEG 'Extended Range' image format - hmmm!

Well, your options are to take the pic again and select a 'compatible' FB format - assume not a possibility? Or, to find a way to 'convert' the image to one of the formats listed below; or bring up the pic on your computer (and depending on PC vs. Mac), do a 'screen capture' and save as a JPEG - good luck and let us know how you may have solved the problem - Dave :)
