I have replaced my keyboard with an Apple aluminium one. The " and the @ are transposed. How do I correct this, please?

What keyboard arrangement are you using? Different languages and regions have different layouts.

If you don't know, telling us where you live can probably give us enough information. Otherwise, go to System Preferences > Language & Text > Input Sources. The checked input source will be your input layout.

Thank you. I'm in the UK and the checked input source is 'British PC'.

Is it possible that the problem is that you have a US or foreign keyboard rather than a UK one? Comparison pics:

Thanks a lot. I changed the British-PC setting to British and that solved the problem.
