Problem with colors on External Monitor

Hello
I have a Macbook Pro 13" mid 2010 and bought a external monitor, Asus VX238 and connect with mini display port do via. The monitor have good specs, Full HD 1080p and other features. But in my Macbook the colors and contrast being terrible. Any color grey on a white background doesnt even seem to render. I connect the monitor on other pc and the quality are better. Someone help me ?

Have you tried to calibrate the monitor? Use your "ColorSync Utility.app" which is in Applications, Utilities. Let us know if that helps. If not, we can recommend another color calibration application.

Also, make sure you're connecting to the monitor from the MiniDisplay Port via DVI or HDMI not VGA.
