When you installed Chrome it asked if you wanted it to be your default browser. You must have replied yes.
Open Chrome preferences, and restore Safari as the default browser. Either that or open Safari, Preferences, General tab, and select Safari as your default browser.
Your suggestions solved my problem. Why did I not think of that?
However, I was not asked if I wanted to change my default browser and would not have downloaded Google Chrome if I knew it was going to change my default browser.
EVERY browser asks you if you want to set them as the default browser, that's how it works. So it was definitely prompted, but perhaps you read through it quickly.
Also, dismissing Chrome for that reason alone is a little silly IMHO.
I've been a Chrome user since it's inception and while I try Safari with every update and stick with it for a short period, I always return to Chrome..
