Are you attempting to put the hard drives to sleep as well? That might be what's preventing your Pro from sleeping.

And check out Energy Saver in System Preferences to see what sleep is set to, both computer, display and if put drives to sleep is selected.

Re

Thanks guys i will check my settings

Only thing is its strange why it would sleep after 8/10 mins with no activity from me or anyone before but now it will sleep only when i press power button.

Is there a Keystroke as machine reboots to reset OSX Lion Settings ??

Do you have any applications open when this "no sleep" situation occurs? And if so...what apps.?

Of course my question only applies after you've confirmed the already made suggestions to check the "Energy Saver" preferences/settings.
