Word to pdf look wrong

Hi guys I have a problem converting my word document properly into PDF. The problem is that when I open up the saved PDF file it doesnt show the background and design as it does in word. It's just the white normal background instead of the one i made. How can i fix this?

Okay so now I got the background slightly fixed. Now it went from white (normal) to brown (my custom made background). The only difference between the PDF file and WORD now is that in word the background is fading from brown in the left side to white in the right side. This is not shown in the PDF. And also the page size is not correct in PDF and therefore some of my text in bottom of the page is not shown + the bottom bit of the page is all white.
