The only thing else I can say to try is...go to "System Preferences" then "Displays"...and check things there.
Especially make sure that a display resolution for the TV is chosen that the TV supports. You may need to check your TV's manual to see what resolution it is.
Since you are having video problems on this MBP (pink lines)...it is possible that there is a hardware problem that is also effecting the video out abilities of the computer.
