- Your Mac's Specs
- Late 2013 iMac, 3.5GHz Quad i7, 24GB RAM, GTX 780m, 10.8.5, iPhone6
i have recently ordered the new 27" iMac and configured it to suit my needs however i was unable to upgrade at ram when i ordered it, i am now looking to buy an upgrade of ram to fit into the iMac when it arrives, i am not going to pay the obscene price Apple are asking for on their website so i will look else where.
as standard the Mac comes with 8GB 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM (2X4GB) i wish to add another 8GB (2X4GB) i will need to buy some DDR3 PC3-12800 1600MHz however on Apples website it states it has 'SDRAM' but SDRAM comes in small sizes so im lead to believe it isnt actually SDRAM
using http://crucial.com's site it has suggested i use this http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B008MALNHE/ (amazon link as they are out of stock on their website, however this states it is for use with '2012 Apple Macbook Pro's, iMac's and 2011 / 2012 Mac mini's' and also doesnt state it is SDRAM
im confused....
