Searching for files

I am trying to clean out my MacBook. System info says I have 45gb of movie files. I can account for 12gb of them but I can't find the remaining. Is this not an accurate reading of disc use? Or how do I find the remaining movie files?

No, system info tends not to be totally accurate about who it categorizes the contents on your HD and even worse at telling you where everything is..

I've found Disk Inventory X to be a good tool at telling you where the HDD space is going to based on size. You can easily find files and decide what you want to do with them..
