Your Mac's Specs
Mac quad 8, Os X.8.5 6gig ram for now
OSX.8.5, ML mac pro, bought my fifth or sixth mac from gainsaver.com this is the first one with possible problems. As I said, no fanfare on boot, It seems to take too long to shut down compared to my G5. Worst of all one of the fans is pretty loud. Not sure if that's a problem of not but it's not noisy right now tho is was a minute ago. Last time I booted it was loud the whole time a few hours. I use these for recording audio and editing. So the noise is not welcome. A smaller consideration is the jack on the front for headphones is loose fitting and it no longer connects the speaker to ground when I jack in. That is minor because I go in and out thru the firewire ports for audio.

So do I need to send this one back for the boot noise or is that a software thing? Thank you for your time.

Ron
