Downloading apps

iMac 27 inch 2017. Processor 3.4GHz Inte Memory 8GB 2400 MHz DDR4. Graphics Radeon Pro 570 4GB
Having upgraded to IOS 7 I am having problems with downloading apps. Tried the ebay one, it works from the app store and opens etc, but it wont download onto my phone desktop?

Any ideas please?

I don't understand what you mean. If you've opened it, then it exists on your iPhone. So it IS on your iPhone desktop, albeit it could be in a folder there somewhere.

In order to open it I have to go into the app store. Initially I searched for it and got the option to install which I selected. Then I got the option to open and the app runs. If I close out it doesnt appear anywhere on the desk top, so I go back into the App store and search for it, and I get the option to open and it runs. Never downloading onto the desktop? Weird!

What happens when you use the iPhone search option and not from iTunes?
