Hey all,

I am currently looking to purchase at least a 7 slot external USB hub but would like a 12 slot for my mac. I was wondering can I use the 3.0 USB hub's without any problems?

Will the 3.0 fit all of my current USB cables? Is there a difference in size? Or will the 3.0 just not accept certain USB cables?

Any advice is appreciated,
Jon

USB cables are standard, so any hub will support them. What you do need to consider is getting a powered hub, so that any device that you plug into it that needs power from the port will get it.

EDIT: I didn't really understand your comment about USB3, but USB3 is backward compatible to USB2. You won't get USB3 speeds unless your Mac has USB3 ports, however.
