I really wanted to like iOS 7. Even after reading numerous complaints that the
sneak previews looked like an Android knockoff. But after experiencing iOS 7
for myself, I can sincerely say that Jony Ive should be fired! iOS 7 looks like
a *******ized version of Android for kindergarten kids! Many of the icons
look like they were drawn by my four year old! In particular the button icons
of the core apps such as Music, Notes, Reminders, etc. The bookmarks icon is
a rectangle with a line through it. The share icon is a square with a line
through it. Really? Most of the core applications look "anemic", and feature
boring and childish looking iconography on a washed out white background, and
the static fonts are small and hard to read. Gray fonts on a white background?
Not to mention that the white backgrounds are annoying to read in dim light.
What the **** was Apple thinking???

I used to LOVE the 3D look and feel of the previous versions of iOS. I can't
believe Apple released iOS 7 thinking that consumers would actually embrace it.
Apple is loosing it. They are out of touch with what consumers want. iOS 7
represents one of the worst cases of "Ive tower syndrome" I have ever seen!

AND THERE IS STILL NO MISSED PHONE CALL ALERT!!!!!!!!

I really don't like the new ios 7 look. I regret upgrading my iPhone 4 to it. It is slow but still kinda usable. Once I get my upgrade I am switching to android cause I like to customize and do whatever I want to my phone. Its too limited on ios 7. When I saw the galaxy s4 it made my iPhone 4 look like a toy. I got three more months for my next upgrade I can't wait to make the switch.

Feature wise IOS 7 is awesome. Esthetics wise its horrid.

First thing I did was hunt for a way to bold the text. My eyes were screening bloody **** trying to read the txt on my iPod Touch5 with Retina display..

I am a stickler for human interface guidelines. Someone forget to read them and assumed everyone has super great vision. Like previously posted, I was much more of a fan of the 3D look. Mainly due to it made everything easier to see. Now, there is nothing wrong with a plate glass look that they was going for, they just didn't do it like they should have. The UI looks like they copied or hired some twit from Ubuntu for the color scheme at that. Which BTW is identical to their website, which I apposed and no longer use.

Wished I could be given a chance to design the UI for the iPhone. It would be both professional and jaw dropping amazing at the same time. But if not me, there is about 12 more or so of us real UI designers that used to work on GNOME themes that could do a **** of a better job.

Like I mentioned, feature wise its amazing. Its just the black on white hate going on in IOS 7 that over shadows the good things that come from it.
