I replaced my hard drive on black MacBook 3.1 late 2007 (MB063XX/A).
I installed Snow Leopard but iPhoto was not there.
Where can I get iPhoto for 10.6.8?
App store no longer supports this software.
Thank you.

Apparently, iPhoto is not included in the standard OS install of Snow Leopard. Also keep in mind that the 'newest' version of iPhoto will likely not run on that older OS - I'm on Mountain Lion (my iPhoto version is 9.4.3), so hopefully others w/ experience using Snow Leopard & iPhoto will chime in to help - good luck! Dave :)

No old iPhoto

Thanks, McBie. IPhoto only went back to 9.4 Mountain Lion. Boy do I have an old machine. Unfortunately this is the machine I will have for a while.

Have a look again, it goes down to versions 7.x and maybe even lower ....
Keep clicking " Load More Results " at the bottom of the page :)

Cheers ... McBie

Also do you not have the DVD's that came with your machine? If So iPhoto would be in optional installs folder.

Well that's that then. To clarify: all the software that came on your machine was contained on those DVDs that came with it. The retail Snow Leopard disc only has -- well, Snow Leopard and the things it needs to run, nothing else.

You might try to find a retail copy of iLife 09 or 08 on FleaBay or Amazon, that's probably your best bet if you can't relocate those discs.

I think it comes with the Mac OSX 10.6.8 Combo Updater. I am NOT 100% on that. I recently did a clean install. Although I had my original OS 10.6 disc, I ordered another 10.6 disc this past Summer thinking it would be the full blown version of 10.6.8. It wasn't. After the wipe and install, I ran the Combo Updater for OS 10.6 and after it was all said and done, I had a few more apps than what originally came on my mid 2010 Mini with OS 10.6................. i.e. iLife 09 with iWeb, iPhoto and maybe a couple more.

You're referring to the Snow Leopard combo package sold by Apple. It not only included Snow Leopard but also the full iLife applications plus some other things that I don't remember off hand. You can still find that package sold on eBay.
