how can I destroy hard drive?

My hard drive starts failing after being used a lot. My guess is due to heat. There are horrible scratching and pinging noises, classic hard drive failure noise. Only problem is, after it cools down it works fine again. I have applecare, but they won't replace unless they see it failing. Any suggestions? Any programs/utilities that will give the hard drive a good abusive workout and make it fail?

uuuummm play a DVD, run Photoshop, run a couple MX programs, download some stuff, rip a DVD that's already on your hard drive. load everything else on your computer (mail, itunes, safari, ie, sherlock, aim, yahooim, etc..
