Hello, so when i logged onto my computer today it was running fine, but it started to slow down gradually, it is now to the point where i can not use it well. The only thing I was running was safari with only 2 tabs open, i closed that and no speed increase. Any way to fix this or am i screwed?

Which MacBook Air do you have - year and model? And what version of OS X are you running? It sounds like your hard drive (SSD) may be failing. You can check it with Disk Utility but we need to know the version of OS X you're running.

First thing to look at when it all slows down suddenly is the Spotlight indexer.
Sometimes ( not always ) ..... when it runs, it takes a lot of CPU resource.
