I have an iMac with OS 10.4.11 (Tiger) that I would like to upgrade, but I can't with my existing RAM of 1 GB of memory. I understand that I will need to increase the memory to 2 GB in order to upgrade. When I checked for the model, I got "Late 2006" which says that I can go to 2 2GB chips. My iMac has a CD slot; does this mean that I have a model "Late 2006 CD" which would limit me to total memory of 2 GB? Also, should I expect problems with the loading of the updated operating systems? Thanks.
