Maybe it's old age creeping up on me, but I don't understand how anyone can say the iPhone is boring? When I compare my wife's iPhone next to my "dumb" Samsung, it's like the difference between night and day.

I'll probably spring for a 5S. I like the fingerprint unlocking feature. Since the NSA already has my fingerprints on file so I have no problem with that! ;P

BOOOOO, Hisss. My friend just bought a new Android. He has connection issues And Digitizer issues and this person knows his stuff. He replaced his motorola which he let me try out and it made me cringe. Grin

An Android is a Robot. Watch some Sci Fi movies! If I wanted a Robot I would get the Lost in Space Robot to follow me around going Danger, Danger Warning Warning!

So much Apple hatred lately! We should change the name here to We Hate Apple or Android support forums!

My friend is about ready to throw his new Top of the Line Android phone through a wall. I can't even chat or talk to him without it doing something bad. Maybe he should take it to the Android store to a Droid Genius! The Genius will look like Robbie the Robot from Forbidden Planet!

About the fingerprint feature, I'm wondering, what if I was to die or be put in the hospital. How would my love ones access the phone? Cut my finger off??? Well, I've got ten of them. Don't need them all.

You can disable the Fingerprint part and use an access code if desired I am told.

It would be a neat feature if two or three fingerprints could be added to the phone. My kids know my password. They are respectful of my privacy.

On the Apple website under learn more multiple finger prints can be assigned.

Also, a conventional passcode is REQUIRED in order to use the feature. The passcode can be used as a fallback to the fingerprint feature, and in fact the iPhone will revert to the passcode if the fingerprint hasn't been used at all in 48 hours:

Lots more info in the article. Short version: nobody should be worried about the fingerprint tech.

I got the same message. I'm trying again as we speak.

Me too. That's what I'm thinking. I got it to download halfway then it stopped and gave me the fail message again.

Twitter officially exploded... apparently it's just a server overload. Thousands experiencing same update failure message. I guess Apple didn't expect 50,000,000 devices to simultaneously upgrade the software.

Someone should give them a heads up that they should expect lines 5 blocks long for 5S launch day...

This is the same story for EVERY release so far.. Just wait until tomorrow or the day after and it'll be easier to download it all and do the upgrade..

I get a message "your iphone is up to date" with 6.1.3. I did jailbreak it at one point and switched back.

Nevermind, when I try it in the iphone itself, without ITunes, it is updating to 7.0. Says six minutes remaining.

After downloadiing, I got the message "Software Update Unavailable", different than the "failed" message above. Go back one screen, then forward, and try again, because the download is there. I had to try four times, always getting the same message. Then it worked. Turned phone on and off, showing the Apple, and the installation line. I assume this will result in a successful update. If not, I will post back.

After about 30 minutes of waiting for it to prepare the update, I managed to get mine to work. The phone is restarting with the new OS as I type this.
