Hi. I bought an MC721 from what I think is a repair shop in San Antonio, TX via ebay. Received it today at the office but don't have any way to look at internet pages until I get home.
The generic production description on ebay for this MBP mentioned screen resolution of 1440x900. However, when I go into System Preferences, then Display, the resolution options are 1) Best for Built In Display, or 2) Scaled, with a list going from 1680x1050, and on down to lower resolutions, including 1440x852. Nowhere on the list is 1440x900.
The ad also did not mention anything other than Hard Drive 500G at 5400, but the About This Mac shows it at 500G at 7200. RAM is 2x4G, for 8G.
So, I am assuming the screen on this mc721 is actually 1680x1050?
Looking under About this Mac, Graphics are Intel HD Graphics 3000 at Resolution 1680x1050 w. 512MB, plus AMD Radeon HD6490M
I'm not sure I wanted finer graphics, as I need but don't like to use reading glasses, but this is for my daughter going off to college, and her eyes are great, with an Ipad Mini, and an iPhone5, so I know she can do well with tiny writing.
