Hello, I recently replaced the hard drive that was in my 12" iBook G3 800 because it failed (kernel errors, basically the ibook would not start up at all). Is there any way I can connect this hard drive to say a desktop PC just to see if I can access the data on it? Thanks.

Yes: You'd need an enclosure for it (usually USB or Firewire), but once you've put it in one of those, you should be able to read it from your iBook no prob.

To read it from your PC, you'll need a translator (Macopener) so windows can read the HFS+ formatted drive.
