Can someone suggest an app?

Hello all,
I am trying to create a training tutorial where I use a Keynote type presentation and record my voice while discussing each page. I have found whiteboard type recorders for the iPad and have Keynote for my Mac but haven't found a program that allows me to create the presentation then go back and record the whole presentation (including drawing on the pages) and recording my voice. Does something like this exist? (and what is it called?)

Obviously, I am not a videographer or editor of any type. Simpler is better. I am hoping to make training presentations for students in our Medical Technology program for our future Lab Scientists. Being able to have them watch the tutorial on an iPad with its ability to show our actual equipment, etc. would be so helpful. If I can insert video clips as well, that would be a plus.

Any and all recommendations will be looked into!

Have a look at this description of screen recording using QuickTime X . It is probably already installed on your Mac and even has some basic editing if you need it.

BTW It would record your vice if you wanted to do a voiceover while interacting with the presentation. You can use the internal mic in your Mic but an external mic will likely give better results. Even if it is only one of the cheap headset mics typically used with Skype/Facetime.

Thank you so much! I was going to give QT a try but didn't realize it would record voice as well as the screen capturing... I thought it did one or the other but not both at the same time. That is a great solution and it is pretty easy to figure out.

Thanks for the link, too. It should get me started in the right direction. I'll take a look at external mic's if the voice portion sounds too crappy. That's a great tip!

I suggest trying a short recording with the internal mic. Some people find it adequate. I found it necessary to use an external mic of one sort or another. If you are on a tight budget you should be able to get acceptable recordings from some of the $40 - $50ish chat mice. I think my last one was a Logitech.
