Hi guys
I have just bought a new Mac and i just noticed, that I dont have iPhoto on it. I did have it on my old mac which is still "alive". Is there any way to get iPhoto on my new mac and convert the library from the old mac onto the new one, free?

thanks in advance
cheers

A "new" Mac or a "new to you" Mac?

What Mac is it and what version of OS X is it running?

I believe any applications you've bought are available on up to 5 macs under your apple ID.

Unless you have the iLife DVD somewhere and can install from that your best bet is the Mac App store. That's what I did when I couldn't find my disk. I think it is still less than $20.00 US.

That depends. If the copy that you purchased for the first Mac was purchased through a Mac App Store download then yes. The software license for software purchased through the Mac App store permits installation on Macs you personally own.

To download the software on the second Mac make sure you have the App Store application installed on that Mac. Launch the App store application (not the iTunes one) and log into your account. Click the Purchases tab at the top of the screen, You can now download any previously purchased software.

If you have an iLife DVD some of those packages also allowed installation on several machines (5 I think),
