huge itunes problem

well its not just itunes but its also iphoto....the entire iphoto library got wiped but the pics are still in their respective folders, with itunes i *only* lost about 80% of it and same deal....they are in their folders.

any idea what to do?

well other then going through each and every folder reimporting them

Try deleting their respective .plists by doing a search for "iPhoto" and "iTunes". There should be a file that comes up called "com.apple.iphoto.plist" or "com.apple.iTunes.plist", whichever one you searched for...

Delete it for both applications.

Relaunch iPhoto and iTunes.
No promises, but it could work.

i did and it pretty much worked for itunes but now i have a bunch of duplicate songs for some reason. Iphoto not so much. i am still missing my entire library
