Mac Mini: OSX 10.15.6 Catalina, 8GB Ram, Samsung Series 5 SC570 monitor, Seagate external drive.
Running Snow Leopard
Have Quick Time 7 installed

Went to Dailymotion and downloaded a video to the hard drive in to the Downloads section.
When I went to open it with QT 7 I get the following message:
"This movie can not be opened"
"The file is not a movie file"

All suggestions appreciated.

Why are people not recommending Perian any longer? I don't waste time with other players and just Quicktime with perian. MOST here used to.

I am not 100% sure...but I don't think it is being developed or supported any longer. Some of the stuff I read in Google didn't mention any OSX's since OS 10.6. I hope I am wrong. It is still available for download.
