I have downloaded maintenance 3.2 to help keep the system running well. I usually run it once a week or every other week. After each use, when I restart my computer my login picture is changed back to the default picture. Is there anyway I can stop this from happening but continue my use of maintenance?

Thanks,

Closer than you think.

sounds like it's deleting...

/Library/Caches/com.apple.userxxxpictureCache.tiff

where xxx is your uid#

I assume the program is deleting cached files. Is it possible to tell it what caches to clean?

The list of options when running maintenance is:

repair permissions
verify preference files
periodic cleanup
update prebindings
clear cache files

so...I guess you tell me if it is possible to tell it what caches to clean.

Thanks for the other advice.
