Macbook Pro 13 inch Early 2011 Screen Issues

My MacBook's screen has been showing streaking horizontal teal lines. Any where there is white on the screen it shows teal. Please see the picture below. I have tried restarting it and updating to the latest OS. This is not a problem with switching the graphics. It is a different blue.

This could very well be a hardware issue - software likely wouldn't cause a system wide issue that affects graphics. Do you have AppleCare for your machine? Regardless, it might be best to bring this into an Apple Store (if one is nearby).

No it ran out about a year ago. I was hoping it was a quick fix. I didn't drop it or anything. I turned it on one day and this happened.

I am, admittedly, so I'll let someone else jump in but it looks to be a hardware issue. Does the same issue appear if you connect an external monitor or projector?
