Hello,

I have a (2011) 13" Macbook Pro and I have recently been experiencing a couple different issues that lead me to believe my logic board or some other hardware is beginning to fail.

The first issue I have been experiencing involves my iSight webcam. Almost regularly, my webcam does not work upon opening any number of applications such as Photo Booth or iChat. It reads a message "There is no camera connected". If I restart my laptop I can occasionally get the webcam to work, but it will turn off if move the screen forward or backwards (almost as if some wiring is loose).

The second issue I have come across is related to my keyboard. Sometimes when I wake up my computer from sleep, only the right half of my keyboard will work. The only way to resolve this issue is to restart the laptop.

Any help/advise for resolving these issues would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Josh

The Isight issue sounds like the cable is kinked where it goes through the Hinge area. Moving screen breaks the connection.

I agree with Dennis regarding the iSight camera. It does sound like a cable has been kinked and being caught between the hinge area. The only way to resolve that is by taking the machine apart and inspecting it. You can get the instructions at iFixit: The free repair manual.

As for the keyboard problem, that too may be a bad or intermittent connection unless you spilled something on your keyboard in the past.

As for the keyboard problem...

...unless you spilled something on your keyboard in the past.

Kind of what I was thinking as well.:)
