Mountain Lion: Arrange by date modified?

Your Mac's Specs
13" MBP - 2.7 Ghz, Intel Core i7, 8GB RAM.
Ever since upgrading to Mountain Lion, I can't arrange my Spotlight searches by date modified, name or anything when I'm attaching a file to Gmail.

How can I fix this?

It also doesn't let me stretch the column to see larger filenames.
