Hi, I could really do with some help with this infuriating problem.

I'm using a Macbook Air 2012 model, Lion 10.7.5.

In any application where you can go back/forwarded e.g. safari or finder, doing a four finger swipe left or right makes the page go back/forwarded.

I don't want this gesture enabled, as it clashes with my BetterTouchTool (0.963) settings. Is there a way to disable this?

I have gone in the Trackpad settings and under 'More Gestures' I have disabled every option except for Launchpad, but the problem still remains.

I'd suggest the conflicting settings is within BTT
Uninstall bettertouchtool.
Then disable the setting in System preferences.

Does the problem still persist.?

thanks, I tried that suggestion but the problem still persisted.

However, I updated to the very latest version of BTT which has an option in its advanced settings to disable the four finger swipe gesture, which fixed my problem. I then created a new gesture to be a 5 finger tap instead.

Thank you anyway. Always good to have support like this.
