My mac air just shut down on me the other day. It will not resart. Are ther any special key sequences to try and get it to restart. I got it in January.

The computer does not even light up. Nothing happens so I can't reinstall anything.

The MagSafe Adapter may be defective if the battery is not fully charged. I'm assuming you tried to start it up with a charged battery and not from the MagSafe?

That was one thing I thought about, but If the battery died and the mag safe is still showing green, what would I do. I guess I could try a different mag safe? It just died without warning me that the battery was getting low. It was plugged into the mag safe at the time.

If you can try another MagSafe Adapter that would at least tell you if it was the problem. Of course the battery may also be dead and need to be replaced. Either way, it's going to cost some $$ to get your MacBook Air up and running again.

Out of warranty could mean an older used MBA.
