Are you completely shutting down Entourage and Word when you quit Mountain Lion?

Also: Entourage and Word icons in your dock, right click and select options. Make sure open at login is not selected.

And: System Preferences, Users and Groups, Login Items. Make sure Entourage and Word are not selected.

As chscag suggested make sure you are completely quitting these programs (command q) instead of just closing the window. Also, when you are shutting down the computer make sure that the "Reopen Windows when logging back in" option is unchecked.

When you are shutting down the computer that option appears automatically. Simply uncheck it and shut down.

You're welcome. Let us know if that doesn't cure things.

Use the 'Quit' command rather than just hitting the little red button. The latter merely closes the window and not the program.

I've noticed that Opera sucks with Mountain Loin. everything looks out of wack and Facebook acts crazy. jumping all over the place.

No problem with Opera here other than it seems to be slower than Chrome. Latest version is 12.6 in case you're using an older version.

That really is weird. It looks like the page encoding may be messed up. Have you tried removing Opera and reinstalling?
