ATV won't update software

MacBook Pro 2013. OSX 10.9. 8Gb mem, 3.6 GHz 750Gb HD. iPod Touch 2009. AppleTV2
I have an ATV2 Model MC572LL/A with software version 5.0.2 (4250).

In Settings>General I'm selecting Update Software and I get a message saying my software is up to date.

I thought there had been a couple of new updates since my version.

Any tips?

Yes, it's currently up to 5.3. That's very odd that it says you are up to date. I can only recommend restoring the firmware and see if that fixes it.
