Comcast & Time Capsule

Just got comcast. We have our landline through them as well as internet service.
I need to replace the modem. Comcast tells me that I need a telephony modem which seem to be few and far between. Can I buy a cable modem and connect the Time Capsule to the phone line? Anyone have any experience with this? Thank you.
