Hi,
I have a brand new Mac mini. If I put it to sleep, it virtually never re-connects to my wifi when I wake it. I have to re-connect it manually, and that can be painful.
My old iMac never presented this problem.
Anyone have any ideas, or is it simply that it's a Mini?

A sharp stick in the eye is painful..reentering a password is just annoying;)

As far as the Mini WiFi issue...go to:

- System Preferences
- Network
- Click on the "Advanced" button

Is the box "Remember networks this computer has joined" checked? If not...check the box...and see if that helps.

HTH,:)

Annoying or painful - discuss.

I tried the sharp stick in the eye, but it didn't solve the issue.

I have the "Remember networks this computer has joined" already checked.

I was just wondering that because it's a Mini, where all the electronics is packed into such a small footprint, that perhaps the aerial for the wifi isn't as good as it could be.

We also have a 4 year old Macbook Pro which has no problems with connecting to the same network. Both computers are running the latest ML.

Thanks for the input.

Obviously the sharp stick in the eye wasn't going to help...since a sharp stick in the eye and WiFi problems are not related!;)lol

Sound good.:)

Nope. All Apple computers with WiFi will connect automatically to a WiFi network if setup to do that.

Since you have a 2nd Apple computer that is working fine...work with both computers side by side...checking all:

- Network settings
- WiFi settings
- Security settings

Maybe this will "tease" out a key difference.

Good luck,:)
