I have 2 mail accounts in my macbook mail: icloud and one from work. Only icloud mail sync to my iphone and ipad, so I only can check my work emails from my macbook. My work email does not allow me to forward emails to another email adress, so I cannot forward to my icloud mail to solve the problem. Also, if I manually set this work mail account in iphone and iPad when I read it in one device it is not going to sync as read mail in other devices. Any ideas how to solve this? Tks!

If you have any control at all over your work email account.... change it to an IMAP account. That will allow mail to sync between your devices. In other words, if you read the mail from your iPad it will show up as read on your iPhone.
