Hi everybody,

When maximizing a window on my Max OS X (Snow leopard) - whilst having the Dock hidden - the "maximized" window always leaves a small gap between the border where the Dock is hidden and the window. I find this quite annoying and was trying to find a solution to this other than manual adjustment.

Do you know of any way to bypass this? I'm using "Right Zoom" but the gaps still appear.

Thanks very much

Not seen that - but it would be quite helpful for you to provide the info of what Mac you are using and whether you are using the built-in display or an external display.

Thanks for your reply. I'm using a MacBook Pro with Mac OS 10.6.8, with built-in display.

Here's a screenshot of what I mean. The gap is on the right side where the dock is currently hidden.

Seems like I remember a similar thread we had 2-3 yrs ago. Someone kept the dock on the left side and had the same 3-4 pixel width of space that a maximized window would not use. Think they were able to drag the edge over to fill the gap, but if they minimized then maximized the window it positioned itself with that same gap again.

Don't think a resolution was ever found for it.

The Dock is hidden, but there is something there, a "marker" if you will. There are going to be some physical limitations to what is possible.
