i know it is gonna sound totally ignorant
but a friend of mine recently gave me iw250 ipod docking station
and i have an iphone which wasnt compatible with it to play music and all
so i thought i might as well use it for macbook and play music via itunes, like to use it as a means of loudspeakers?
do you think it is possible?

Yes, you just need a 3.5mm male to 3.5mm male audio cable to go from your headphone socket to the aux-in connection on the dock
