MacBook Pro screen replacement Question

Hello all, new guy here :)

I recently purchased a MBP Late 2006 (MA610ll) 15 inch and the screen has some damage (which I was aware of when buying) and I have a not working MBP Mid 2007 (A1226)
And I was wondering whether it's possible to replace the screen on the MA610LL with the newer screen.

Sorry if this is a newbie question.

2017 15" MBP, 16gig ram, 1TB SSD, OS 10.15
Go to Powerbookmedic.com...and cross reference the part numbers for the two computer display's you mentioned. If the part numbers are the same...then the swap should work fine.
