Epson dx 4400 printer problem with Mac osx

Hello ,
My mac has recently developed a printer problem. I am unable to print any document from any application with my printer, until recently it worked fine, all supplies are up to date and the mac recognises the printer from launchpad and in its usb list but the print queue just says error . Any thoughts , I appear the have the latest software download for this printer,

Are you printing wireless or from USB? Either way, try removing the printer and reinstalling it.
