i got to playing around with my new mac os and word 2011 and somehow lost my ribbon..can you "find" it for me? lol

Hi:
Two ways to hide or unhide the Ribbon:
1. Click once on the "Home" button (left side of toolbar) to hide, click once more to display the Ribbon.
2. Look on the right side of your toolbar... you'll see a small pointing arrow. If it's pointing down the Ribbon is hidden. Click on the arrow once to point it upward, the Ribbon will appear again.
Also, I'm sorry I can't help you with your other problem as that appears to be a permissions problem. I suggest trying to repair permissions for OS X to see if that helps.

yippee skippee! lol on the other - asking for a password, do wonder why all of a sudden this began? still have to take classes to learn all the wonderful, wonderful things on my apple!
