Cannot import Iphoto into Photoshop

I have OSX 10.8.4, Iphotoo 11 9.4.3 and Adobe PS 9.0.3.

Photoshop will not import pictures either via Finder or its iphoto instruct. Message is Invalid XML Album set.

Is this a compatability issue?

This is not the correct way to go about what you are trying to accomplish.

The correct way is to set Photoshop as the default third-party editor in iPhoto's preferences.

When you do that, double-clicking on an iPhoto photo will launch Photoshop and open the photo in it. Make your adjustments and save, and the iPhoto version is updated with your changes. You can still "revert to original" if needed.
