I keep security documents passsword protected in dropbox, but of course they are not available w/o wifi/data connection. I've begun to move them to iCloud since installing the pages app on iPad. They are password protected, but after opening them once, their 'protected data' is then visible as an icon image. Suggestions on keeping the icons secure, too?

If you have them in Dropbox you'll have them on all desktops/laptops even when offline. You can also have them offline on mobile devices if you mark them as a favourite.

Moving them to iCloud doesn't solve this problem since iCloud also requires a network connection. ;)

I suppose my question here is "is the text legible?"

Documents in icloud will be available even with wifi off on ipad, which is why I've moved some sensitive docs there. I found that once a doc is opened with pages on the ipad, the first page then becomes the doc icon and even though the text is small, I've taken a screen pic & blown it up in photoshop enough to see account numbers. So far I've created blank first pages with a simple descriptor for sensitive docs. A pain with printing, but I know of no other way to keep sensitive data hidden.

Mrplow,
I did not know about the favorites trick with Dropbox. That has really made things very easy for me to keep things hidden yet available. Thanks for the valuable tip
