converting bulk files windows to mac

Hi,

I'm new to apple computers, Ive been using windows my entire life. My old machine has 60+ gb of mp3 files is their a program i can use to convert them all at once to the desired format for transferring them to my mac, and what format is that? i apologize for the noob questions

MP3 is supported on the Mac. You can import them to iTunes without converting them at all.
