I've replaced the HD in my mid-2012 Macbook Pro 13 with a SSD and move the HD to the optical bay. I've started having overheating problems with the HD.
One of the possibilites, of course, is a problem with the drive itself. However, I'm wondering whether there is sufficient airflow in the optical bay to keep the HD cool.
This in turn leads to my questions: is there any downside to moving the SSD to the optical bay? Is it likely that airflow will be better if I move the HD back to the HD bay?
TIA,
Stu
