Finally got MAIL to work on my iMac (thanks to the Forum) but am puzzled by a message under "Mail Activity" when opening Goggle mail account. "Incoming 1 of 750" or some other large number. Where do these messages go on my computer? Inbox, Junk and Spam often shows no new messages following this message.

Log on to your GMail account via the web. Check to see what you have listed under "All Mail". Ignore the Spam folder because that does not get downloaded anyway. The All Mail folder may have a large number of unread or not marked messages. It's easier to go thru them via the web and mark them as read to avoid downloading them. Any that you wish to keep, just move them to your Inbox and they'll be downloaded the next time you check mail.
