Mac Charging problem

My mac doesn't charge very well. Sometimes after trying a while it will charge just fine as long as I don't move it. I thought it was the charger. Bought a new one and exact same problem. I think I've had the computer about 3 yrs?

First thing to try is an SMC reset:

Oh man. And basically the main difference is plugging it in before you turn it on? I just tried it but so far it seems to have fixed the problem and I have two chargers now. Before I shut it down it seemed to be charging but there was no charge light on. Now its working perfectly. Thank you so much. Seriously. Many thanks.
