since upgrading to mountain lion my word program is unstable it moves and l have to wait for it to settle down before l can carry on.

You're going to need to be more specific.... what do you mean your Word 2008 moves? Moves where? Please explain and we'll try to help.

If you mean it bounces up and down in the Dock, that is standard.

its not stable the whole page that I am typing on moves slightly to one side and I cant do anything until it settles it only does this for seconds not all the time

You have the zoom turned ever so slightly on. Option-command-minus (-) should fix that.

sorry Im not to clever with macs where do l go for this where do l find the zoom command
